2024 has been a fantastic year at The White Lion, Weston, with a lineup of events that brought the community together to celebrate, indulge, and create unforgettable memories. Wedding Fayre
Our Wedding Fayre was a spectacular event, bringing couples together to envision their dream weddings. Guests were welcomed with a glass of fizz and delectable canapés as they explored our beautiful venue and met a curated selection of talented wedding suppliers. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with inspiration and excitement for future celebrations.
A Dinner Theatre Murder Mystery
April was a month of intrigue and entertainment as The White Lion partnered with Alsager Community Theatre for the Dinner Theatre Murder Mystery. Guests were immersed in a thrilling performance of The Mouse Burger Murder, paired with a delightful three-course meal, an arrival drink, and a night of interactive entertainment. The energy and excitement of solving the mystery while indulging in expertly prepared dishes made this event a standout favourite.
Gin & Jazz Fest
July brought sunny vibes, smooth jazz, and refreshing gin cocktails during the Gin & Jazz Fest. Our outdoor bar and prosecco trailer were in full swing as visitors sipped on drinks from Three Wrens Gin and other premium brands. A delicious array of oven-fired pizzas and outdoor-grill favourites complemented the festival atmosphere. With live jazz performances throughout the day, the event had everyone dancing, laughing, and toasting to summer. The community buzz and turnout made it one of the most memorable days of the year.
August Bank Holiday Extravaganza
The August Bank Holiday saw families and friends enjoying a fantastic day at The White Lion. The event featured entertainment for all ages, including a bouncy castle, face painting, live music by Rob Crampton, and our popular outdoor bar and grill. Freshly made pizzas were a hit once again, as guests enjoyed the festive, relaxed atmosphere under the summer sun.
Nantwich Food Festival
The Nantwich Food Festival was another shining moment for The White Lion. Our team joined food lovers from across the region to celebrate all things delicious. Engaging with the local community and sharing our passion for quality food and drink in this bustling setting was truly rewarding. The festival reflected our commitment to creating connections and memorable experiences through exceptional food.
Oktoberfest
This year, we brought the lively spirit of Oktoberfest to Weston. Under a grand marquee, guests celebrated with steins of premium German beer, traditional dishes hot off the grill, and live music from the talented Audley Brass Band. Many embraced the festive spirit, donning Lederhosen and Dirndls to compete in the Best Dressed Competition. The laughter, camaraderie, and hearty cheers echoed the authentic Bavarian celebration.
This is a yearly event that we have succesfully ran for the last three years. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2025!

The charm of our 17th-century building, combined with bespoke services and personalised menus, made every elopement unique and memorable.
